Vega F or Vega FP: Choose the Mounting Route Before the Model

Compare Vega 1F and Vega 2F normal-mount references with post-mounted Vega 1FP. Clarify installation, aiming, optical data and the distinction from Vega road models.

A directed outdoor-lighting brief starts with a physical question: where can the luminaire be mounted, and what must it illuminate from that position? Head size and appearance become meaningful only after that installation route is understood. Vega F mounting references and the Vega FP post-mounted route give the LUXiFiC portfolio different starting points for this discussion.

Product reference: LUXiFiC Vega 1F. Confirm the selected installation and configuration.

Vega 1F and Vega 2F are normal-mount references with rectangular light-engine forms and support brackets. Vega 1FP combines a Vega F form with a post-mount arrangement. These product identities help organize a shortlist; the selected version still requires its own drawings, optical information and electrical specification.

Separate normal mounting from post mounting

For a Vega 1F or Vega 2F enquiry, identify the intended supporting surface or structure and the proposed orientation. Ask for the exact bracket dimensions, fixing arrangement and adjustment information. Do not assume that a visible bracket provides a particular adjustment range or suits every mounting surface.

For Vega 1FP, begin with the pole-based connection. Request the model-specific interface dimensions and confirm how the luminaire is oriented on the proposed support. A post-mounted route is not simply the same installation detail as a bracket-fixed version placed on top of a pole.

Choose optics around the target, not the housing outline

Define the area or feature that needs light and its relationship to the mounting position. Show relevant distances, heights and boundaries on a drawing. Identify viewpoints where the light source may be visible, including adjacent circulation routes and neighboring properties.

Request the photometric file for the exact proposed optical and electrical configuration. The designer should review aiming and installation geometry together. A more powerful-looking head does not establish a wider useful beam, and an attractive product photograph does not reveal how much light reaches a particular target.

Compare Vega 1F and Vega 2F without inventing a performance hierarchy

The portfolio presents Vega 1F as the smaller normal-mount reference and Vega 2F as a larger product form. That makes their proportions and installation requirements useful points of comparison. It does not, by itself, establish an output ratio, a beam angle or a numerical coverage difference.

Ask for the power, dimensions, weight, optics and mounting information for each selected version. If a value has not been confirmed in a matching model document, keep it open in the comparison schedule. A transparent pending item is more useful than an inferred number that later reaches a purchase order.

Do not transfer Vega road-model data to Vega F

Related naming is a common source of specification errors. Vega 1 road lighting and Vega 1F are different product references. A power table that explicitly names VEGA1 road configurations should not be treated as confirmation of a Vega 1F configuration without a matching model reference.

Use the same discipline for Vega 2F and Vega 1FP. Ask the supplier to identify the exact model on the drawing, optical file and quotation. This avoids a document pack that appears complete but mixes information from different mounting or product families.

Treat application lists as routes into review

The Applications portfolio includes the normal-mount Vega F family in bridge, tunnel, underpass and transit routes, alongside pedestrian and broad outdoor-area tasks. Vega FP appears in pole-based public-space and large-area routes. These are useful shortlist prompts, not blanket suitability or specialist approval statements.

Describe the actual environment and any required documentation. Bridges, transport spaces and exposed outdoor sites can have project-specific constraints that are not visible in a general application label. The selected installation and configuration need to be reviewed against those constraints.

A clear Vega F mounting enquiry

  • Exact model: Vega 1F, Vega 2F or Vega 1FP.
  • Supporting structure, connection dimensions and proposed orientation.
  • Target area, aiming direction and sensitive boundaries.
  • Required model-specific dimensions, optics and electrical data.
  • Control requirements, environment, quantities and destination market.

Send LUXiFiC the mounting and target drawings together. Selecting the installation route first helps turn the Vega F and Vega FP references into a focused model comparison supported by the right technical documents.
