The project question
How should people experience the space?
A public-space lighting brief is a record of how people move, gather and use the place after dark. Identify the pedestrian routes, activity areas, surrounding architecture and intended operating schedule. Include mounting restrictions and the project team's requirements for comfort and access. Those conditions give procurement and engineering a shared basis for comparison instead of selecting a fixture by appearance alone.
- Pedestrian routes and gathering areas
- Comfortable contrast and visual guidance
- Durable, serviceable product choices
Selection path
How can the public setting narrow the product choice?
Compare products by the role they need to perform in the space. Use a common site layout and requirement list, then request model-specific information for the candidate configurations. Record any unresolved mounting, exposure or control question before approval. A luminaire used in another public space is a reference, not proof that it meets the conditions of this project.

Project support
Build a brief that can move between teams.
The project enquiry path keeps application, product, quantity, and target-market information together for the next response.
Next step
Turn this reference into a project brief.
Share your application, product context, quantity, market, and the documents you need to review.
